Note on Environmental Tax Malta:

Since June 2016, an environmental tax is levied on Malta, Gozo and Comino for guests 18 years and older. This amounts to 0.50 EUR per person per night, maximum 5 EUR per stay. The fee is to be paid directly by the guest upon arrival at the booked accommodation.

Accompanying person for underage travelers

Please note that hotels in the Maltese islands do not accept persons under 18 years of age traveling alone without an accompanying adult. By law, at least one person per room must be 18 years old.
